Science studies

Six science studies will be performed during this project, main accomplishments will be summarized here at the end of the study.

The preliminary list of studies is the following:

Tropical surface flow variability: Tropical Instability Waves and diurnal cycle (led by GEOMAR)
Dynamics of the Arctic Marginal Ice Zone (led by LOPS/IFREMER)
Diurnal variability of the stratification in the upper ocean surface layer (led by IFREMER)
A kinematic assessment of North Atlantic subpolar mode water formation and its relation to AMOC variability (led by CNR)
Internal tide interaction with underlying current off the Amazon (led by CLS)
Eddy driven transport across continental slopes (led by FMI)
